Greg Heard
Greg is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors; serves on the Finance Committee and chairs the Governance Committee.
Greg came to the Board with a broad range of skills that include strategic negotiations, project management, risk assessments, privacy reviews, process improvements, capital planning, and leveraging technology to improve operations.
Over the past 10+ years, Greg has volunteered his time to leading technology user groups and assisting companies in understanding how to weave technology into their business and help others to reduce waste.
Greg has over 24 years of experience of global and international experience in the technology field with 12+ years in Senior Leadership roles.
Greg is currently Director of Information Technology with Scotia Investments.
Past work included 5+ years at Shannex where Greg assisted the organization in reducing costs while improving services. These costs savings enables the organization to reinvest money into care and wellness for the residents.
Prior to Scotia Investment, Greg worked at Tenera, which exists to help people live happier, healthier, and safer lives, by bringing reliable, modern, real-time technology to senior living facilities to monitor and analyze health patterns and activities that impact the safety of residents, staff and visitors.
Greg has a real passion to make the lives of seniors better. He prefers to view every senior living in a continuing care home as he would his grandparents. He is always looking for ways to improve the life of seniors in their most vulnerable years.
