The Golden Hearts (formally Auxiliary) was organized in 1992 for the purpose of assisting the Windsor Elms in providing a quality style of life appropriate to the individual needs of each Resident.
Its main objectives are:
To raise funds to provide for additional financial support over and above the normal operating expenditures. To educate the public on the operation and objectives of the Windsor Elms.
This small group of family members, Residents, private individuals and department heads from the Elms meets monthly. (except for July, August, and December).
The Golden Hearts raise over $2500 per year through yard sales, raffles, teas, bridge and dessert parties, and donations from individuals and local service organizations. The funds go towards items which will directly enhance the lives of our Residents. Past purchases included a tub chair, lap tables, merry walkers, bed check system, sun awnings, lawn chairs, furniture for resident and family use, Christmas extras, and recreation tools.
New members are always welcome! The only qualification is that you must have a sincere desire to get involved and participate in helping the Golden Hearts reach its goals and objectives.
If you do not wish to be a member you can still help out with fundraising activities!
